We have received a number of reports regarding slow WordPress admin area \/ dashboard performance, which we have found is caused by the Litespeed Cache plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We strongly encourage using the Litespeed Cache plugin and its benefits, however, the issue with the slower performance of the backend relates to the ‘Object Caching’ module of the plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The problem takes place when Litespeed attempt to ‘validate’ the object cache services – Memcached<\/strong> and Redis. <\/strong>It does this by checking which of the ‘extensions’ in your PHP are enabled, and then attempts connection to the corresponding service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n To resolve the problem with slower performance, please do one of the following<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1.- Disable the Memcached and Redis PHP Extensions<\/p>\n\n\n\n cPanel >> Select PHP Version >> Extensions >> Deselect ‘memcached<\/strong>‘ and ‘redis<\/strong>‘ from the list of extensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Object caching is definitely recommended, and can drastically improve performance.
